HANDHELD WIRELESS BACKING SAFETY SYSTEM
Helps prevent costly backing accidents.
We’ve got your back!
Drivers of large vehicles routinely suffer from inherent rear and off-side blind spots.
Backing accidents are very common with these types of large vehicles.
Backing accidents, like the one shown above, tend to be very costly. Consider the expensive repairs to the vehicle, the loss of use during repairs, and other collateral property damages. And if an injury or death occurs it will be far worse. The lawyers, litigation and legal settlements may result in staggering payouts to victims. So why do these accidents happen?
IT IS, AND WILL ALWAYS BE, DANGEROUS BEHIND A BACKING VEHICLE. THE CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE SPOTTER TO THE VEHICLE PUTS THE SAFETY MAN IN HARMS WAY. THIS METHOD OF COMMUNICATION IS CRUDE AND LONG OUTDATED.
THIS METHOD OF BACKING IS TRAGEDY WAITING TO HAPPEN
SO WHAT STEPS CAN WE TAKE TO MITIGATE THIS INHERENT RISK?
THIS IS A BETTER WAY
Our patented safety system employs a wireless handheld transmitter to activate audible tones and visual lights in the cab for the benefit of the driver.
THE SPOTTER CAN OBSERVE FROM A SAFE VANTAGE POINT
Using the Reverse Control system, a spotter is able to signal the driver from a safe vantage point. In other words, the spotter is out of harms way. In addition, the Transmitter incorporates a “DEAD MAN” safety feature with a momentary style button that defaults with a stop signal if the spotter drops the handheld device.
COMPONENTS MOUNTED IN THE VEHICLE CAB
When the spotter pushes the momentary button on the transmitter and holds it down, the driver hears a three beep set of tones and sees the left and right LED’s illuminate solid GREEN. When the spotter lifts off the momentary button the driver hears a long solid tone and the LED’s flash RED. Pictured below are the cab mounted components.
LED’s are in Drivers field of vision as he looks at his mirrors.
RIGHT SIDE LED
During the backing process, it is common for a driver to loose sight of a spotter as he looks left and right to his mirrors. With Reverse Control the driver does not have to see the spotter to know when to back up or when to stop. The spotter activates visual LED lights and audible tones that occur in the cab. LED LIGHTS AND TONES SIGNAL THE DRIVER … CLEARLY AND INSTANTLY.
Reverse Control can help prevent accidents in all types of heavy vehicles.
